King Oyster mushroom liquid culture is the fast, easy, and uncomplicated way to start growing mushrooms! First, the liquid culture makes it very easy to innoculate your mushroom block. Then, as the mushroom grows in, it has a thick long-stem with a smaller cap, but that is meaty and full. When you cook the mushroom, it really brings has a deep rich flavor. The King Oyster is perfect for frying because it holds up well to a batter and has almost a meaty flavor. One of our employees enjoys battering them and frying them in slices and dipping them in buffalo sauce! It’s delicious!
King Oyster mushroom liquid culture syringe is made of mycelium that has been grown in a liquid environment. This is as opposed to growing on a solid substrate such as agar with Culture Plates. The liquid culture is in syringes filled with a mix of this growing mycelium and nutritious liquid. You can use them to inoculate anything from agar plates, grains, sterilized substrates, or even make more liquid culture of your own.
- Each syringe comes with 10 cc’s of liquid culture.
- Which in our experience is enough to inoculate 5 X 5 lbs bags of sterilized grain.
- They will survive a wide range of temperatures
- Grow vigorously
- Great for beginners
- Store any extra in the fridge until needed.
